Sneaky Requests To Make Stealing Your Work Easier

This was kind of interesting as I had a video that showed some outstanding wildlife capture and for the most part people loved it. I even added some soft music to lighten the mood and again it worked out well. But recently there was one comment that got me to think as the person was asking me to remove the music. Now you would usually think it’s just a personal taste of sort, but I found it suspicious and upon a little research I think I was right to be weary.

As I looked into the person’s account that made the comment, you can clearly see that they essentially steal other people’s work such as uploading video clips of TV shows to get views. So it added to my original thought that because I had music in my video it makes it harder to steal unless someone literally tries to edit the music out which would be terrible as it is a wildlife video. Plus if they do just re-upload it then they could get more into trouble not just for the video but the music as well in which they don’t have a license to use.

A lot of people do that I find nowadays. They try and get people to essentially upload raw work not because they are interested in seeing it for enjoyment but rather it makes it easier for them to steal it. Photographers would never do that as an example. It’s almost like the equivalent of people asking one to remove their watermarks I guess you could say. It must work sometimes though I would imagine.
