One thing that is always a little nerve wrecking in trying to find gifts this time of the year is whether or not you should buy the item once you see it for fear that it can be sold out later down the road or that if you buy it now then the price might get cheaper. I am usually a bit pickier as a result in terms of where I buy items as I want the ability to easily return the product where it’s no loss if a find it cheaper on a different date.
One thing too I noticed that people neglect to factor in is that many stores and businesses actually extend their return policy times during the holiday. Example,a store that normally only allowed you to return products within two weeks may be one month now as they are factoring people who need to return gifts after Christmas. Therefore, you get a lot of extra flexibility to make those purchases without fear that you will be stuck with it.
Depending how good you are at handling credit with your credit card too, technically you won’t even have to spend money if your billing cycle is later towards the end of the month where if you do return the item you will simply get credited back. Sure beats having to buy something at the last minute and surrendering to any inflated prices due to product availability.
