Settling Due to A Lack of Variety In Pricing

Awhile back I bought a pair of these LED light bulbs that were pretty expensive when you compare it to an incandescent one. At the time when I bought it, the stores appeared to only have them in selections where the light was an equivalent to maybe a 20w light bulb. Recently I tried to find something that was more in the 40w type of brightness and the prices for those are pretty astronomical such as it costing $40 per bulb.

I even tried to find stores online for better deals. While the prices did seem better, most places charged an extremely high shipping price for the items which makes the cost about the same as buying it from an actual retail store. This is one of those cases it seems that you pretty much have to settle for an expensive price as it doesn’t seem like things will be dropping anytime soon.

At times like these it kind of makes you want to research the distribution channels for these products so that you can better assess if these prices are more due to the lack of availability or if there is just a big window of opportunity for you to be a supplier since it is still in a niche market type of mode. Having to pay that much for one bulb makes me want to find a place where I can buy it in bulk and then ask a bunch of people if they wanted some too. That way everyone can cut their costs probably by about 30% or so.
