Usually when we buy products such as an electronic equipment it would come with a one year guarantee of sort. After that you are usually out of luck if something breaks down. You either have to pay for the repairs or spend the money towards a new one. But recently I had an interesting experience where the warranty for a product ran out but it had actually been less than two years. When I contacted the company I was surprised to learn that they would be happy to take it in to see what’s wrong and even possibly repairing it for free if the job was small.
They were basically going above and beyond what was advertised. I have often heard a lot of companies doing this and I can imagine it being great public relations where if the job is small enough this can probably lead to so much more sales due to people praising the company for its customer service. That’s why sometimes it can be good to go out of your way and do more for the customer.
You would usually see this kind of leniency if they know a person has been doing a ton of business with them. As they say too small fish knows big fish. If you can maybe sometimes you should.
