Selling Unused Items Fairly Quickly

I was reading about this technique that some people use to try and save money that is kind of different I must say. I guess we have all heard of people that just clutter their homes with a bunch of stuff that they never even use. Usually that just encourages them to buy even more stuff as I guess the mentality is it’s a mess anyways so why change?

Basically, one person was avoiding this by literally selling things if he has no use of the them for about a month. Example, say if he bought a bread maker that he never seemed to use for the whole month he would then sell it. Or say exercise equipment. Apparently for him this makes him more responsible about purchases as he also thinks long and hard afterwards on whether or not he can avoid having to spend money on items that he isn’t guaranteed to use say every day. At the same time, he is almost clutter free.

In some ways that is kind of fast though I thought. But I guess that actually works well if you don’t exactly have say a family to worry about since all of your purchases would revolve mostly around yourself.
