Like many others I was watching the Mayweather versus Pacquiao fight today and one comment that always came up in the room was how much money the both of them were making for this one fight. Apparently Mayweather was getting 100 to 200 million as an example. It’s kind of interesting after on how many were then questioning their line of work as an example.
I think it’s a good business lesson. Like here, you can clearly see how they constantly portray a good versus bad theme to get people emotionally invested to spend more. You have to be careful about falling into the trap of comparing yourself to others though. That often results in extreme disappointment or unrealistic expectations. If anything, learn the techniques of the trade and see if it can be applied for your unique situations I think.
Like here, there are obviously certain formulas that are used because business wise people know it works. Instead of focusing on how much others make, become knowledgeable on the things they constantly do. Like a free business class.
