Today I went into a store with the intent to see if any apple juice was o sale and upon entry there was an aisle for what appeared to be Halloween clearance candy. I had no intent to buy any but it was some of the prices that really got my attention. You can see for this one where it was a large package of smaller circle tart candy and the listed price was originally almost thirteen dollars.
But as you see what they are trying clear it out for it can be bought for about two dollars. Can you imagine the profit the business makes during regular times such as before Halloween as everyone is looking for convenient packaged candy to give away? You wonder why even electronic stores are starting to offer snacks and drinks at the checkout aisle as an example huh?
I wouldn’t doubt if a piece of candy could have better profit margins than selling some kind of device. Seeing prices like these probably makes it less appealing to buy which may be a good thing for people who are trying to cut back on sugary treats I suppose though. Granted too, they could be selling it at a loss just to get rid of it too.
