Scheduling Later But Showing up Earlier

Sunny drone shot

I have often heard that for a lot of self-employed people one of their strategies in maintaining good customer relationship is to always do more than what was expected. In that sense, you should always under promise and over deliver I guess you could say. For example, estimate that a job would be done in three hours where on the day it only took one. But how about people that purposely do this when it comes to a scheduled appointment?

For example, imagine a service installation person was supposed to go to your home at 12pm. Instead they show up at 10am and get everything done earlier. Apparently some people actually do this as many people are relieved where they now have extra time in the day that they thought would be gone if they had to wait for them to arrive later.

I was just thinking how there are so many odds where when it comes to scheduled appointments like that it can backfire where people specifically book time of for the scheduled appointment. Then again, I guess technically even if you don’t answer the call earlier they would still show up at the planned time. It just seems more like a gamble I suppose.
