This was kind of an opposite advice that I usually hear. Basically, one common way that you save money is that when you get home you throw in your spare change for the day into a jar or piggy bank. It definitely does add up. One person was saying that he feels you shouldn’t spend money at all if it requires you getting change as letting it sit there in a jar is more costly.
Instead, he suggests the purchase should always be with say a debit card or credit card as that way your what could have been spare change stays in the bank always and that way you can get interest. Not a bad way of thinking about it I guess.
