Preparing For A Food Shortage Crisis or Not

There seems to be a lot of news recently where people here may have to brace for a potential food shortage due to the conflicts around the world. However, it doesn’t seem like many people are planning for it financially which makes you wonder if everyone should. For example, would you actually invest in materials and resources to grow simple food items such as tomatoes or carrots? Or would you simply stockpile a bunch of canned goods which should last a long time?

Regardless of this event I have read how vertical gardening has become more of a topic where people can grow food this way as well. I would imagine just simply saving up a lot of money wouldn’t be as wise where if there is a shortage you can imagine the prices for grocery items would skyrocket to the point where investing more now would have been the better choice.

It would make you wonder ow you can been prepare if you were say in the restaurant business as I can’t imagine one being able to stockpile canned goods to prepare since restaurants usually rely on fresh ingredients in order to charge that premium price for its meals. Which would beg the question too, if you are operating a food business like that would you start to seriously consider a different kind of business just incase you literally have nothing to left to sell?

That might be wise as well in terms of finding some way to diversify until things settle down should the situation arise.
