With a lot of people price gouging essential items such as face masks and hand sanitizers a lot of cities have been actually passing temporarily laws that ban the resale of these goods for extremely marked up prices. Of course you then have the stories of how hoarders that can’t sell these items are just keeping it where in the end the people that need it still can’t get it.
But there is one aspect that seems very overlooked. In many cases you can just do it yourself. For example, I have been seeing so many videos of people making hand sanitizers themselves. Now I am sure people are going to debate that the majority simply won’t produce them correctly, but things like a face mask can definitely be something that people can make with a little effort.
If you think about it too there are so many clothing types of items that you would naturally use in other occasions to cover your entire face such as winter gear. Sure some people go over the top such as making a full plastic suit of sort, but generally speaking if you really need it don’t overlook the option of making it yourself.
