I thought this was kind f an interesting story I heard as there was a person who ran a company where its core focus was to teach people how to fly things like a plane. He was licensed and all so ultimately it should come down to if people are looking for a school then the best business should reign supreme. But this is where it got interesting as this school had a great reputation but at the same time criticized how the whole process could be better law wise which resulted in criticism against the policies created by the government.
Sounds like a company that cares right? Well apparently the government officials didn’t really like it as they essentially threatened to take away the company’s business license with the argument being if the operators are projecting this kind of negativity per se then most likely it will produce poor quality student as well. That of course doesn’t really make sense as it is fundamentally an opinion they are expressing versus say offering low quality teachings.
That then reminds me how I often see businesses where representatives come across as unbelievable to a certain extent where it seems like they just agree and love everything. It feels like one is trying extremely hard to hide what they truly want to say as an example. I suppose that is a decision one will encounter eventually where speaking up or expressing an opinion that goes against an authority figure per se usually does result in loss opportunities. You could argue it would result in gains as well, but is that an area you would be willing to jump into versus trying to avoid it all together for the sake of business?
