I was reading recently that the company Netflix was going to implement some kind of mandatory requirement where cast and crew who work on films produced by them will have to get vaccinated. This raised a lot of discussions about legality and whether or not they are opening themselves up for a lawsuit if someone couldn’t take the current vaccines for whatever reason.
But I think the biggest legal issue in all this is that technically the vaccines are all being used with an emergency exemption order. That is what makes this indeed tricky for any business to try and mandate vaccines that haven’t yet received full FDA approval as an example which I would imagine would automatically make such requirements not legal per se.
So it will be interesting to see how many companies actually just go with that direction though and if it will truly open up a Pandora’s box of legal issues.
