Well it’s April the 1st today and as you may expect a ton of companies are releasing fake information as a light hearted joke for the occasion. McDonalds got into the action as well as they released this burger on the Internet called the McPickle. By the looks of it the “burger” is constructed like a Big Mac except there are a ton of pickles in place of the meat patty. It seems to also use ketchup instead of a Big Mac sauce.
While for the most part people know it is fake there seemed to be a ton of people who actually want this to be a real product. It’s kind of interesting as people were saying how they would go as far as creating a petition so that the company makes it an actual burger.
One thing I was thinking of was how I have literally seen a person order a cheeseburger with that many pickles which was a crazy sight. As well, if you think about it you can literally order a McPickle if you wish by simply telling the restaurant to make you a custom burger to match what you see in the picture. Will probably be super expensive though. Would you as a company actually turn a joke into a real thing if it seems like the demand is there? You just never know what can be a hit sometimes I suppose.
