Manually Adding Backpack Features To Save Money

With the rain picking up today and the rest of the week it seems today my waterproof backpack wasn’t that great in keeping the bag dry. It pretty much felt like it was water resistant versus waterproof even though it is advertised as waterproof. So, while researching some backpacks a lot of the ones that claimed to be fully waterproof had insane price tags well over the $200 range. Seems a bit much huh?

That’s when I started to read how others have simply added waterproof dry bags within their backpack which accomplishes exactly what they need for way less money. In this case, buy a good quality backpack and then say a $10 to $15 dry bag that you would place inside the backpack and is where your items would be stored. It would feel virtually the same except now your items will be protected from the water. Granted the backpack itself could probably still get very wet.

It’s a great reminder too that sometimes you can simply add pieces to an existing product to get the results you want without having to pay extremely high premium prices.
