Well this was an unusual price error in the form of awarding way too many store reward points. Usually for buying these types of items at this store you can expect to get a few hundred reward points as every 1000 is worth $1. So imagine seeing this $5.99 deodorant product offering 30,000 points for each product purchased. That’s literally the company giving you thirty dollars to buy it. Nor surprisingly, it seems like people were quick to empty the inventory.
My assumption is this was an error as it was meant to be 300 or 3000 points max. But there are a lot of people who actually make a lot each year takin advantage of these errors to the point where you have to wonder if it ever becomes in a sense criminal. People often joke where if they got a great deal at a store which is well below market value one feels that they just robbed the store. That would definitely be the case here.
I would have probably bought at least one to entertain if it actually goes through as many times they are adjusted.
