This was kind of humorous where most people know the tap water in Canada for the most part is perfectly drinkable and is virtually the same as a lot of the bottled water. So recently a person was freaking out as they were having guests over and they didn’t have any bottled water for the children. I was saying how the tap water is virtually the same thing and it was free, but she was apprehensive. However, due to the hot weather she didn’t really have a choice and so she just used the old bottle and filled it with tap water.
As the children drank it they were saying how good it was. She then whispered to me to not say anything and that it was actually the tap water. That just kind of shows how many times the free stuff is just as good as the paid ones where if it’s just the psychology of not knowing it was free to make you judge it equally then so be it.
In many ways you have to work to deprogram yourself from all the marketing literature you see on why something is better when really they may all be the same with the difference being one costs way less.
