Usually when I buy stuff I always try to determine what the final cost after tax would to get a more accurate picture at how much I would have to spend. Just today when buying some items though it seemed like there are so many different kinds of recycling and disposal fees that you have to pay upfront for various products now. These fees ranged anywhere from $1 to $30.
That sure adds up at the checkout line I must say. It doesn’t seem like stores really put any kind of charts or notices for you to prepare for it ahead of time other than seeing the price once you scan the item for purchase. I guess for the time being you just have to research for a list of sort ahead of time and have it readily available in like your phone for quick reference.
