Something really funny happened today as I bumped into a person who I met many years ago where at the time I was really looking for some advice and guidance on how to work in a specific industry and what successful entrepreneurs have done. Technically he does what I wanted to do too. He was actually super helpful and to this date I still feel he gave me some of the best no nonsense advice that helped me to move forward. He even went out of his way to try and build connections for me.
Unfortunately, it seemed like many people he referred me to weren’t that interested as they felt I wasn’t going to help them in any way financially. So why waste time on them right? That’s usually how business works. So after all that I guess even he got a sense that maybe I just wasn’t cut out for this. So the communication swindled between us. However, one thing is for certain you can’t argue that I have persistence and work ethic. Sure enough that seemed to be a key to achieving success and results.
So today I actually bumped into this same person where the studio he was in was where I had to go as well. The reaction got me thinking. When he saw me he was actually surprised that I was still moving forward and making things happen. His exact quote was “You are still doing this?” I guess he thought I would have gave up huh? Makes you think where even if you are at a point where everyone rejects you and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel simply moving forward brings you closer to your goals. Even if you have to do it yourself in the beginning.
