Imagine seeing this high budget project with a staff of over a hundred people where everyone is scrambling to get this big project completed. You see schedules and the basic roadmap that people are following to reach that goal where it just seems like it’s a matter of execution. However, in reality the people at the top are always changing things on the fly where as a result everyone is trying to adapt and find solutions without any real plan. Somehow things actually manage to work out.
It’s so weird to think about that a business with that much money and have invested so much time in a plan just to in a sense not follow it. I guess it’s like taking a camera where you had a specific plan to film certain things only to end up randomly filming what you felt on the actual day to then try and create something out of it. Like there for many it actually works out.
It makes you think where at times if it’s more about investing in a thorough business plan or simply acquiring the best talent to get things done in a business. In this example anyways it seems like getting the talent is more important. I usually go with this approach for personal projects as many times you just need time to figure out what direction you would like to go before committing everything into one thing. But if you were doing something worth millions of dollars with hundreds of staff members it’s just kind of terrifying to in a sense wing it all.
