I decided to actually go in the Sport Check store today that is closing down as I assumed by now most of the good stuff has been taken and the line ups were way less. When I went in there were a lot of crates on the ground with items and tables of shoes that at times were all over the place since people were grabbing them and then placing them elsewhere. In a lot of cases, the items didn’t even have a price which meant it remained unsold.
It makes you wonder where during times like these do you even need to be organized to move merchandise or do you just assume people are already in a buying mood and the item will sell regardless? That almost seemed to be what was going on in a lot of cases. Normally stores would have a staff member in every section for example always making sure the department is organized. But that definitely wasn’t the case here.
It’s crazy for this type of store since we are dealing with say clothing items and gear where size matters in regards to what people buy and organization is important. At the same time, people are buying I suppose where maybe just organizing it in the beginning of the day is good enough.
