I had a friend recently that asked if I wanted to try this attraction here called the Grouse Grind. It’s essentially a hiking trip and it is classified as one of the most dangerous hikes in the world. To be honest though, I have seen videos and it didn’t seem any harder than doing endurance exercises in any ways. So, I agreed to tag along whenever they decided to go.
However, the weather is getting extremely hot here and because of a fear of a heat wave it was suggested that we hold off until the weather is a little cooler. Unfortunately in the news today too apparently someone had died trying to do the hike as a result of a heart attack. That sure shows that if you intend to do strenuous activities in the heat you better be prepared to spend the money necessary to be comfortable in this weather. Especially if you are unsure if such a thing will end up being really difficult for you.
It’s probably so easy to say it’s not worth investing in like a lightweight bag if it is your first and possibly last time doing an event like this. Of course, I don’t know the exact details such as if it was this person’s first time. Better safe than sorry though in terms of purchasing or borrowing the gear for stuff like this.
