If Harvesting And Catching Food Was A Necessity Rather Than An Option Financially

Today my dad dropped by and to my surprise he gave me a whole crab. I know he often goes fishing from time to time, but this was definitely a surprise. To think, buying a crab at the supermarket or even a restaurant can be extremely expensive. Yet in this case, with a little know-how willingness to put in the effort you could save so much money even with the necessary license fees. It just made me think how more financially well-off people would be if we were all required to in some ways to be not dependent on always having to buy things at a market.

Personal vegetable or fruit gardens are probably the most common type of things when it comes to food that people grow on their own. The food usually tastes so much better too that it makes you wonder why we don’t put more priority in our lives for this as you save money and get superior products. You could say it’s because of the time, but things would probably be a lot different if everyone started to invest early on in creating an environment for such a thing. It’s simply not something that we are taught to do as a child for most people.

In many ways too, it’s like teaching a person to be good with money means teaching them how to do things for themselves huh?
