Having To Justify Higher Prices Immediately Samsung Galaxy S20 Glass Replacement

samsung galaxy s20 fe bullet hole glass crack

Well today something unexpected happened where my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE phone that I got not too long ago somehow has a bullet hole like crack on the glass of the back camera. I have no idea how this happened. From reading various comments online though apparently this is a rampant problem with the S20 phone lineup.

So at first I actually went to a company that should be an authorized dealer to ensure that everything is being done to the manufacturer specification. So I inquired at first as to what the cost would be and the time it would take to repair. This is where it got interesting I thought where the person was saying how it could cost about $200 to $300 to repair that back camera glass as they may find more issues upon replacing it such as the camera actually being damaged.

That wasn’t the case from what I saw of course and immediately he followed up by saying they use genuine manufacturer parts unlike a lot of people while guaranteeing their work to ensure the phone is back to the manufacturer’s specifications. It was evident he said this because there are actually a lot of cell phone repair stores in the mall I went to where I would assume they would do the job for less than $100 as an example.

I would already assume that the small kiosk stores try to cut corners of course such as using aftermarket parts. But it was just interesting as it would appear this business probably loses a lot of potential customers due to the prices sounding so much higher to the point where people just go elsewhere immediately. That makes you wonder, if you know that you are definitely a lo t more expensive than others but know that you offer superior parts and work guarantee would you be inclined to make sure that the prospective customers know that? Or would you opt to be like a high-end clothing brand where for most people they would assume that a more expensive item would mean better quality per se?

It’s funny in my case because as the consumer I went in knowing that the official authorized repair places would be more expensive so they didn’t need to pitch it. Oddly enough though, they didn’t have the part required to repair it so I have to look elsewhere.
