Usually when it comes to growing something big having a team of people is the way to go as time can be management more efficiently which should mean more productivity. Sometimes though when you are just starting out you have to be able to do everything yourself. This is a common story I have heard of franchised companies where the original founder of say a restaurant would do everything from the cooking to marketing. Once they became big enough they started to hire people while becoming more of an executive.
This made me think the other day as I was getting compliments on how it was incredible that I could literally do a specific job that normally requires a team of people while in some cases being able to produce better results overall. It was interesting too where I find many people in these types of cases would say it’s impossible to do stuff without a team. For myself it’s more a team would mean you can grow faster and more efficient. But in many cases it’s not impossible to do it yourself.
I think that is an important mindset in some ways as it actually encourages you to do something even when you have nothing. Instead of sitting around and saying you can’t do anything without help this shows you are wrong and just need to get started. Look at how many immigrants in a new country started with only say $20 and then made it big through hard work. Odds are they are used to having way less in life and they know it can be done. It just requires a lot more effort.
