Having Branded Uniforms In Any Business

Recently I went to get a haircut from the usual place I go to and was greeted by the usual staff. As I sat down on the chair I noticed something different though with one person. He was wearing a vest of sort that actually had the company name branded on it which was kind of neat I thought. Then as I looked around I noticed every other employee was wearing one now as well. A couple of things ran across my mind such as wondering how much it costed them to make those.

But the most important thing was trying to think of it from a customer point of view. Does doing this as the business in any way make the experience better? Generally speaking it didn’t personally as everything seemed the same. But in terms of perception it did make me think that the business was in a sense more established and successful than say just the store at the corner feeling that I normally got. That can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

I guess the reason is mainly because it makes it feel like a brand as opposed to just a place. Kind of a simple way to do it too I suppose if you want to project a little more professionalism and value in whatever it is that you do. Especially to people who see you for the first time.
