Having a Mandatory Face Mask Policy For Outdoor Businesses

Whether or not a business should force its customers to wear a face mask seems to be a hot topic in recent times where something that should solely be about a health issue has turned into a human rights topic it seems. For example, supermarkets implementing policies where customers need to wear a mask and people refusing to do so as they force their way into the stores.

It got me fascinated to see how certain businesses such as ones that focus on fitness have adapted by actually having its classes outdoors. Combined with spreading people apart that should technically be the perfect way to stay safe while enabling everyone to kind of continue as before. Apparently doctors even say transmission outdoors is very low provided you are far away from others. But then in some of these cases businesses were actually still requesting people to wear a face mask.

That made me wonder is that a case of truly wanting to be safe or simply implementing things where in many ways doesn’t make sense for your specific scenario? I would think in some ways since it is outdoors and everyone is spread apart that wearing the mask would be worst if these are intensive workouts due to not being able to get fresh air. I have heard of people even fainting in cars for wearing masks way too long as an example. I can only imagine it’s worst if you are doing something physically demanding.

In some ways it would make me think it would be like having a procedure where you have taken a nice hot shower and cleaned yourself up thoroughly then at the end you need to apply hand sanitizer. I guess you could argue it helps but it seems a bit odd considering the circumstance.
