Black Friday is coming soon and flyers are starting to circulate so people can start planning o what to buy. One thing I found funny was how certain companies like Walmart appear to be conducting their sales at least a day in advance. I guess this way they can get a head start where if someone buys the item from them that means its competitor will not get the opportunity to increase its sale. It’s actually common here for during the Christmas time to have early sales such as Boxing day actually happening on Christmas Eve for some online vendors nowadays.
I know from the outside it sounds kind of weird to not have the sale on the actual day of the event. But in these cases do people honestly care as long as they get a discount? It’s not like it’s a birthday celebration as an example where you are specifically celebrating an occasion for an individual. For the most part, companies often just try to find anything to brand a sale in order to get more attention by capitalizing on an event.
Again as a consumer to me a sale I as ale for the most part where I usually don’t pay too much attention to the actual event branding other than it being an indicator that specific days are times that companies try harder to win one’s business.
