When I saw this deal today I had to read it a few times. Apparently there is a promotion being done by Pepsico where in a Superbowl themed offer they are willing to give anyone who spends $20 worth of Pespico related products an additional $20 worth of product coupon in the mail. At first I was reading it as you spend $20 and they will literally give you $20 back in the form of a mail in rebate. The wording makes it sound like you will simply get a coupon to get more products.
It made me think though, do you consider offers like these a really good deal? I know for me anyways, personally speaking even if like a cola was on sale for 10 cent I wouldn’t want to stack it up for personal consumption as I don’t think that would be good for you health wise. It’s like the joke how you save a lot of money now to then spend more at the hospital later. I know a lot of people would though.
If anything, for me I would be more enticed to take advantage of the deal if I ran a business selling these kinds of things. It probably helps a lot for like a mom and pop convenience store as I notice these types of businesses often simply buy things that are cheap from supermarket just to resell them. If you guys are interested in the offer this is the fine print:
