My friend was telling me today that she was grocery shopping and there was a promotion listed in the store where if you purchases twenty dollars worth of cereal products the store would give you one gallon of water for free. Essentially, she would have to go out of her way and purchase way more than normal in order to get that free deal. The first reaction was “water?” We were then saying how you could easily just go to your tap and get it for free. If you were really that concerned about safety in drinking it there is always the option of boiling.
I was just trying to wrap my ahead around who would immediately react to the deal as being great. I think in a way many us us take it for granted or overlook all the stuff that we can easily get for free.
