As expected for this month I am spending a ton of money which was expected and accounted for due to things such as Christmas gifts and holding off purchases until all these year-end sales arrive. Out of habit I always look at my current charges to my card to make sure there is nothing wrong and oh my does that still sting looking at the amount. Again, it’s all accounted for but it’s a great example how this can be a great way to get you to immediately change your spending habits if you are in a situation where you definitely need to stop buying unnecessary stuff as an example.
For example, think buying that cup of coffee or snack is so little money? Try looking at your current weekly charges as those 100 to 300 hundred dollar charges will make you wonder if there is a cheaper way such as making your own coffee instead. I think that’s actually a way people get into debt as they don’t want to feel bad about looking at their spending habits and so they just ignore it to the end of the month. The more you get used to it the more I find it’s motivation for you to do better.
Whether it’s saving or earning more, it helps to keep you on track to be debt free without the stress of owing company’s money.
