This got me thinking today as I was hearing stories of couples that are having a hard time trying to have children due to the fact that they are well into their thirties as things such as establishing a career came first. That’s the responsible thing to do of course where everyone wants to be able to provide a good environment for their children. But this is kind of a scary example on how the thing that you were saving up for may not even be an option if you wait too long and so you need to make a decision pretty early on where you may have to do it in a less-than-ideal financial situation.
I remember my parents saying when they started to have children, they actually didn’t even own a home yet as they were renting. Through planning and hard work, they bought a house with a mortgage and was able to pay it off in just a few years. Afterwards, everything was going okay financially as you would expect from a working-class family. I know nowadays we tend to want to have everything in place such as the house fully paid for before even starting to find a mate or even think of having children. But like there, it may be too late when it comes to age and having children.
Time is usually your worst enemy versus just the money in general.
