So while reading about all these new camera releases recently there were some good offerings from multiple companies which makes it tricky to determine which one to get. Usually for the bigger camera you would first have to invest in the camera itself which can easily cost you thousands of dollars. But in the camera world the lens that you attach to the camera often have a ridiculous price such as lens that literally cost over $10,000. Imagine buying the camera for $2000 and the lens being five times as much. Because of this, people are often stuck with one brand because it’s not uncommon for the lens to only work with one camera brand. Who wants to throw away a $10,000 lens right?
Because of this, people say you should marry the lens and not the camera when it comes to making a bog purchase. That’s not bad advice such as if you invest in a system that is useable across different brands it gives you flexibility to change brands if needed and you won’t have to repurchase all these lenses. Not exactly the first thing you would think of in buying a camera as a beginner.
Great example too of researching the real cost of owning something as these factors can make that one-hundred-dollar purchase into a thousand dollar one.
