Trying Expensive AI Bots Even If You Are Unsure

Today, I was reading about how more and more people are building entire teams of AI agents. Some handle accounting, others tackle various tasks on the computer or across the internet. It got me thinking whether I could benefit from something like this myself.

While the idea sounds amazing, it can get expensive. Many platforms charge anywhere from thirty to a hundred dollars a month, with some going as high as three hundred dollars just to run these AI agents. That makes sense, since they’re running 24/7 and require significant resources.

It makes you wonder: if you know something could potentially benefit you a lot, are you willing to make that investment to try it, even if you’re not sure it’ll pay off in the long run? That’s exactly what I was thinking. Would I really want to spend thirty to a hundred dollars just to test it out?

Fortunately, most of these AI platforms offer free trials, so it’s basically risk-free. You can try them and see if you like them. But it got me wondering—if there wasn’t a free trial, would I still have tried it? I think I probably would, at least for a month, just to see if it was worth it.

People tend to be frugal in their personal lives. You wouldn’t casually drop a hundred dollars just to try something new for fun. That’s why we read reviews before making purchases. But when it comes to investing in your productivity or business, I think you should treat it more like a business expense.

Companies regularly spend hundreds of dollars on marketing materials and advertising. In the same way, it makes sense to allocate some resources toward experimenting with new tools and technologies. Who knows? You might discover something that ends up saving you thousands of dollars down the line.

So keep an open mind. There’s a time and place to be frugal, but when it comes to investing in tools that could grow your business, it’s worth setting some money aside for experimentation—within reason, of course.
