There was this cheesecake store that opened up around here recently and I swear every time I walk by there is a lineup as if the newest iPhone came out. All this for what seemed to be a tiny cheesecake where people were willing to wait over 2 hours for. Although by the sounds of it people say it was absolutely delicious. There were some comments though from people saying how for the time they lose that cake costs a lot more than just the price for it and so it wasn’t a good enough deal to get.
Funny enough I was thinking how sometimes at the supermarket if I see a pretty good deal on say some vegetables but the lineups look like it will take half an hour I actually do consider that as a not worth it scenario. Waiting thirty minutes just to save five cents for example doesn’t seem worth it as you can probably earn more than that doing something else with that time.
I wonder how many people actually think the same way too when shopping or if businesses even factor that in as well in terms of what a customer perceives as a good value and incentive to get people to go to their store. Because many times people just focus on the price whereas like in this case speedy service can be a factor in that value proposition as well.
