I was thinking as recently a funny thing happened where I was asking around for people who know others that are in the business of things like renovation. At first I asked people within my immediate social circle and many people didn’t really know anyone that they have used recently. Basically, it would be no different than looking it up at a directory. But for some where I didn’t really expect anything I just blurted it out that I was looking for potential leads and sure enough those people knew of some companies.
It’s one of those reminders where sometimes you never know where you will find the right person who may be the solution to what you are looking for. That can be true for even things like business networking where you would think going to some convention would be the ideal place to network. In reality, many people often bump into their future businesses partners just from participating in the same hobbies or everyday venues that one normally goes to.
I guess like they say it never hurts to ask in many cases right? It probably is easier to just blast out the message if you and your contacts use the same social media sites as well.
