Apparently billionaire Elon Musk recently posted a poll which was kind of interesting where he asked the question “Who do you trust less?” and the choices was a billionaire or a politician. I am guessing this is due to a lot of stories where people say billionaires are the problem of the world as they take advantage of people to generate their wealth per se. So as the billionaire, I guess he is trying to turn the tables.
As of writing this, it seemed like over 76% of his audience thought that politicians are less trustful. He then challenged what I assume to be a politician of sort in the US to do the same poll and not surprisingly the person didn’t respond. Aside from the mud slinging, it actually did make me wonder where when it comes to someone having a lot of money would you be more inclined to not trust them versus say an average individual?
For example, it’s no surprise where when people experience success they inevitably attract people who will hate them for no reason other than they were successful at something. So knowing that, would that ever cross your mind where you will actual prepare in some way to deal with negative backlash? Just speaking personally, when it comes to say trust how much money a person has doesn’t really say anything much. For myself I would kind of have to look at what the person has done and how. I guess the same could be said for a politician.
But one thing is for sure, as usual getting into politics affects a business as Elon Musk seems to be getting a lot of challenges about say his business acumen or personal beliefs now whereas before a lot of people would just focus on the stuff he creates.
