This was kind of confusing today. I received an unsolicited message from a Canadian company that was trying to get people to buy some kind of home security system. For the most part, it seemed like it came from a reseller as opposed to the company itself. But the funny thing was that its site wasn’t a usual .COM domain but rather a .US one. Confusing much?
Even in its sales literature it seemed like it tried so hard to target Canadians. Yet I can’t help to think that this one little detail would probably throw most people off where they simply won’t take it seriously. I can only assume that they went with that extension because they got a deal of some sort. But even if it was more expensive for the other solution, it would have probably been better in attracting more business.
