I was thinking of cleaning up some old equipment that I don’t really use anymore such as some older style computer monitors. My first thought was to do the environmentally sound thing which is to recycle it. Interestingly enough, it’s costs quite a bit of money to do this. You would think that it would be like recycling cans where you would get money back.
Financially it just makes more sense to give the item away or to sell it at a ridiculously low price. Kind of strange too where you pay for electric recycling fees when you buy electronics nowadays yet you would still have to pay a fee should you opt to recycle it.
