I am still currently trying to search for a good flight and hotel deal for a family member and just out of curiosity I wanted to see how different the rates were if you travel as a pair compared to going alone. It was kind of silly at times as even for hotels rooms at time came out to be cheaper if you book it with more than one person. This made no sense to me as if you are sharing a room then technically I would think the cost would be higher as you have to take care of two people.
For flights I could understand why it was cheaper per person though as if you have to book two separate flight tickets then technically the airline is making more money. For travelling I was thinking you could probably save so much money just by joining some kind of travel buddy group as even if you had no intent to travel with them at the actual destination you could save so much just by purchasing packages together.
