This was surprising but I guess not too surprising. I like to find deals even if it is for others and recently I found some watermelon on sale and decide to buy some to give to my parents. They were happy and a few days later my mom gave me some apples she bought at the store. They were apparently on sale too and she was saying how they were from China. The first thing that came to my mind funny enough is that I would imagine locally grown apples would be superior just due to things like the environment. But it’s the thought that counts.
Upon looking at the apples at first you wouldn’t be able to tell that there would be anything wrong. There were some slight marks but I assumed it’s just natural imperfection like most apples. But opening this thing up is a different story. It almost looked like there was something growing in there huh? Pretty nasty. Virtually all of them were like that and you wouldn’t know by just looking at the exterior of it.
It makes me think how finding great deals is always good. But where your food comes from should often be more important overall huh? Even if the local stuff costs more I think everyone agrees it would be more worth it.
