One hot topic with the price increase of items such as groceries and oil is how various leaders are shifting blame where it’s not their decisions that resulted in this crisis but rather things such as the war. Therefore, they are tired of hearing people blame them or their policies for the current situation. That lies the controversy of course such as when people show the data how things such as inflation has already been occurring before whichever crisis that is being blamed.
That made me think where let’s assume whatever issue it is was truly because of an outside factor that is beyond your control. Would it be better to just outright blame that for the current situation or is it better to just show things such as raw data so that people can make their own decision? I was thinking how that might be the best option overall because it is very transparent and gives people the opportunity to try and solve it if they feel the current person in charge is not doing a good job.
As well, in many cases it could be a scenario where with that information most people won’t want to dive into it. By default, that would mean they can’t do anything better which means the person in charge is technically doing a better job even if it isn’t ideal. It’s probably not the first thing you would think of in a high stress situation I would imagine too. But transparency is usually a great way to answer all questions while being non confrontational.
