Business Direction Based On Compliments From People You Know

mountain hike sea to sky

I was recently reading how this person was flabbergasted that a piece he made didn’t really get good reviews where people were actually turned off from any future creations from him. I did take a look at it and for the most part it did seem like something that was created from a hobbyist per se which I can see why most wouldn’t want to invest money into it. So that should give you the hint that you need to step up your game.

But that isn’t what happened. He then wrote a note to all his friend and colleagues it seems on the negative reaction his work was getting. There was then one person who told him that they loved it and that he should just continue. So that’s what he did where he didn’t really change anything and his next work got the same type of reaction as he fell even more.

I think at times like these it may be a bad idea to simply go off opinions of people that you know where the response is likely to be sugar coated or restrained from being too harsh. There’s definitely a time where words of encouragement are fantastic and acts as a form of fuel to keep going. But in this case you shouldn’t use that as a reason to blindly ignore what the market is telling you I guess you can say. Granted it can sometimes take people a bit of time to warm up to something, but either way the data is telling you something that you should always consider as opposed to compliments from loved ones.
