This was interesting where with recent events happening in Canada there were actually discussion in parliament where a question was raised on how many people in Cabinet were a part of the World Economic Forum as there were videos circulating of the founder claiming his group has penetrated the Canadian government.
That’s kind of disturbing if true. What it made me think of actually are business groups where many people would often join them as a form of networking while coming up with solutions to make everything better in their view. If you are getting benefit out of it, in many cases people would insist in running their business in ways that satisfies the group versus doing what they think is best. For example, maybe there is a vote coming about a law where you know it would hurt the average person but would be great for some people in your network. Not wanting to be kicked out from the group, one would just do whatever appeases to them.
That’s probably how some people grow fast as an example by inserting themselves into a group of sort where it should theoretically give you more opportunities and resources. Although, with that thought it makes you wonder if it’s better to try and stay out of any groups like those from the beginning unless you don’t mind having to in a sense be controlled as if you are now the employee.
