I think this is a first where I was hearing for some people that if they see a company offering a lifetime warranty on its products then it must be bad. How do figure that considering that should mean the company stands by its product huh? The reasoning apparently is that people believe its impossible for any product to last forever as regular usage will result in degradation. Therefore, a company would be out of business having to replace products for free.
In that case, to many the only rational conclusion is that the product you are buying is actually cheaply made where they could be charging you say twenty times the cost to make one which gives them the ability to replace items without much financial burden. I actually wouldn’t doubt it I regards to the aspect of the company having huge margins on the item. Quality is a different story as something could be great while still charging people an arm and a leg.
A factor too is if it is a small item sometimes people end up losing them. So if they were charged a lot before where the price factored in potential replacement costs then the company comes out even further ahead.
