Always Shopping Different Places To Evaluate Value

Today in the midst of a pandemic I went out to look for this dandelion herbs as my parents still had a huge bag left but were worried that they may run out. Essentially it can be used as a tea as an example. They told me the price they paid for the bag was about $12 but all the stores around the area closed down because of the COVID-19 event. So I agreed to go hunting for some.

My immediate assumption was that the Vancouver Chinatown area should have some. More specifically, those herbal stores. When I went there it was definitely different with all the physical distancing requirements. But what surprised me the most is when the person found exactly what I was looking for the price of the item was $5. What a bargain I thought compared to what my parents said they paid originally.

I guess it was fortunate that they weren’t price gouging where ironically it seems like it was the other businesses pre-pandemic that were charging insane prices. Just another example on how you always need to comparison shop.
