It’s all over the news recently as you may have heard where in Minneapolis a police officer as videotaped having his knee on the suspect, George Floyd, who can be seen saying he can’t breathe as the officer seemed to have ignored that. Evidently he passed away after which has created massive protests in the US with people burning buildings and looting various stores. But one topic that came up is how many of the people destroying property and stealing items are simply doing it to enrich themselves. At the same time, some people actually want to make the situation worst and so they are essentially like a person who is throwing fuel into the fire to make it bigger.
Reasons could be such as certain groups of people want to create more division and so it’s in their best interest to provoke people to cause more chaos. That isn’t too far-fetched to think as it reminds me of shady business people. For example, during this COVID-19 pandemic apparently certain restaurants would go to social media posing as regular customers and spreading messages on how other places had confirmed cases of the virus. As a result, naturally people would want to avoid it to then go to them instead.
That’s why many times it’s important to try and do some due diligence if possible before making judgement. No different than trying to analyze if certain customer reviews online are from actual real customers in many ways.
