Actually Reading The Mission Statements of Organizations

This was kind of interesting as recently a person was telling me how in their field they have been experiencing a lot of regulations of sort that in many ways favors a large business as opposed to a small one. They actually weren’t sure where this came from. So I decided to take a quick look on whether or not the industry had an organization of sort that actually tries and advocates for their industry to be operated in fair way. There is usually at least one.

So this was the funny thing. I did find one where they appear to be pretty large as they apparently constantly mingled with regulators. So surely they have a lot of influence right? That was the interesting part. As I read their mission statement it was pretty clear that their goal was to promote and enrich large corporations as opposed to the small business as an example. For example, advocating that small businesses can’t offer products as efficient as larger companies. Therefore, they should be the ones agencies should rely upon.

When you look at it from face value though as a regular person they initially come across as simply an advocate for the industry as a whole. So who wouldn’t want to donate to them as an example correct? Kind of shows the importance of researching organizations thoroughly before investing into them as they could be presenting one thing but doing another.
