Recently I was looking for a company that provided some tutoring services where I went through the usual routine of looking up reviews online for what may be a good place. Since this would be more about the person in question and their skill my focus was more on things such as the person’s background and notable successes. But one interesting note was how for some people their website looked incredibly dated where most would scoff at that and say they must not be very good to not be able to afford something better.
But funny enough I actually saw it as a potential positive in these situations. The reason being is that the person could have very well tried to make it themselves to save money. Considering it’s not their area of expertise to me that could potentially show these people are more about allowing their service or background to hopefully speak for itself while saving everyone money by having less overhead costs in running the business.
It’s almost the same mentality of a mom and pop shop which may not look as good as a large chain store but that factor makes you think that they may be more trustworthy while giving better quality. For my case anyways it was a similar notion when looking at the websites. You don’t always have to spend thousands of dollars on fancy marketing materials as many times just coming across as genuine and authentic can be enough too.
