I was reading how a lot of clothing stores during this Coronavirus pandemic are going to have a lot of inventory to dump once they are able to re-open. Reason being is most businesses stocked up on Spring related and theme items where by the time this is all over it will probably be the end of summer or the fall. That means what people need and want will be vastly different. So like most businesses when you need to get rid of stuff you hold a big sale.
It got me to think how even without excess inventory a ton of places probably will have a giant sale of sort in an effort to attract shoppers and encourage people to spend money again. It’s actually another incentive not to spend all your money during this time if you needed even more reason to simply save and buy the essentials right now.
If you think about it even big sales events such as Black Friday apparently started during periods where the economy was really bad. So who knows what new kind of sales may pop up once this is all said and done with.
